The International Smart Cities Network currently hosts three independent exchange formats that build on each other and complement each other, i.e. are modular, much like the approaches and solutions sought in the smart city sector:
-
the "ISCN Global Mixers" are a curated and open series of entertaining, fresh, innovative and exceptional inputs on a wide variety of smart city topics from around the world. Each session provides a concise and focused insight into one topic, followed by a short Q&A, all in no more than 30 min. Each "Global Mixer" is a possible starting point for a more in-depth exchange between interested parties.
An up-to-date overview of the next mixers and registration opportunities can be found here. -
The ISCN Online Advisory Programmes (OAP) are 90-minute sessions that dive deep into network topics based on need. Participants can expect inputs and keynotes from experts in theory and practice, panel discussions, working groups and often flanked by ISCN-commissioned studies or practical tools.
An overview of past OAPs can be found here. - The (online) symposia are the ISCN's highest-ranking exchange formats, organised with an international co-host and often embedded in a supra-regional event framework (expos, conventions, etc.). They bring together experts and decision-makers on an overarching topic of current relevance and can be the starting point for further strategic cooperation. Here is documentation of past symposia:
