Alanus von Radecki and Laura Dieguez from the Data Competence Centre for Cities and Regions (DKSR) presented the study "Data strategies for urban development for the common good - International". In presenting the results of the study, both emphasised the key role that data plays in developing solutions for urban development for the common good and achieving the SDGs. They shared the findings from their research and highlighted what is important in data strategies and what to pay particular attention to when implementing them.
The "Pathfinder Social Innovation in Urban Development" was also presented by the authors Dr Nadja Berseck and Simon Höher. With their work, they hope to encourage urban innovators in local or national administrations to lead the way and build their capacity to implement ground-breaking social innovations. Therefore, 12 good practices, their real-life processes, impacts and challenges are presented, which together provide a rich and diverse picture of social innovation in practice.
In addition, Tania Libertad Zavala Marin, Director of Urban Development Management at the Institute of Urban Planning and Management of the Metropolitan Region of Guadalajara (IMEPLAN), presented the latest information on the pilot phase of the digital solution "Mi Mercado AMG". In this phase, the online market solution is being tested by future users of the app. Feedback will be given in several iterations to ensure a user-friendly design. In addition, a transfer package with source code, manuals, etc. is being developed for a possible expansion of the digital solution to other municipalities in Mexico and worldwide.
